Brookstray Park Needs your Support

RESEARCH

Our community focus groups indicated the most pressing issue in Willenhall is to improve the parks and play area. Willenhall has a population of 7000 residents but we only have one other public park.

ACTION

We have knocked on 1000 doors and spoken to Willenhall residents. The locals expressed overwhelmingly strong interest in an improved Brookstray Park.

We have gotten support from Coventry City Council's Parks team & Community Resilience team to turn this vision into a reality.

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT

The City Council does not have the resources - financial or human - to keep the park in its current condition, let alone improve it. In order to give Brookstray the chance of a better

future, we have formed an unincorporated association to act as the vehicle to nurse the park back to life, grow and develop it, and secure its future We have a small dedicated

team of ‘friends’, but we need to broaden and strengthen our capacity.

If you can commit to contributing your knowledge or skillset in any small way, you can help to realise a brighter future for Brookstray and Willenhall.

Can contribute time to being part of our development team
Experience with community projects
Experience working in the council in the past

Someone who can keep an eye on the park and report problems
Someone who can help keep the grounds tidy

Gardeners who may be able to help with planting
Experience with event organization
